Samsung phones get Swiggy support for the One UI Now Bar

Samsung phones get Swiggy support for the One UI Now Bar

Samsung̢۪s custom Android interface from 2024, One UI 7, introduced a new feature called Now Bar. It can show the status of ongoing activities, such as sports events and order deliveries, but only from compatible apps. Initially, very few apps supported the feature, with most of them being the brand̢۪s own apps.

Over time, however, many third-party apps have added support for Now Bar. Now, one more app has joined the list: Swiggy, one of India̢۪s leading food and grocery delivery apps. Its support for the feature should make it more convenient for Samsung users in the country to keep track of their orders.

Earlier today, Swiggy appears to have released an update for its Android app. It carries version 4.115.0. While the company did not provide a changelog for the update, users of Samsung smartphones with Now Bar who installed it noticed that the app now supports the feature.

So, when you place an order through Swiggy, your Samsung smartphone can show its status as a card in the status bar, which you can tap to expand, and on the lock screen. You can check out how it looks in the screenshots below (via Dipayan Ray).
